Burglene Howell Obituary

Burglene Marcum Howell, age 82 of Oneida, TN passed away on Monday, August 26, 2019 at her daughter’s residence in Knoxville, TN. Born in Scott County, TN on June 28, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Burg and Frona Marcum.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Van Howell; sister, Ruth Vaughn; and brother, James Marcum.

Burglene is survived by her daughter, Vanesia Cohan and partner Mike Hammond; grandsons, Trey Koger and wife Sarah Depew and Tyler Koger; special nephew, Jim Marcum and family; and many other relatives and special friends.

Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, September 1, 2019 from 2 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 4 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Michael Weathers and Bro. Keith Marcum officiating. Music will be provided by the Pine Creek Choir.

Burial will follow in the Marcum-Kidd Cemetery in Oneida. Pallbearers will be: Jeff Vaughn, Jim Marcum, Trevor Chitwood, Michael Goins, Andrew Flint, Michael Weathers and Keith Marcum.
