Shirlene (Faye) Hicks

Shirlene (Faye) Boyatt Hicks, age 76 of Oneida, TN passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at her home with her family by her side. She was born on April 25, 1943 in Oneida, TN. She was a long-time member of Foster Cross Roads Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie E. and Lucy Jane Marcum Boyatt; brothers, Carl Boyatt, Clay (Jabe) Boyatt, James (Crick) Boyatt, Everett R. Boyatt, Archie Boyatt and baby Willie Boyatt; sisters, Kathleen (Kat) Boyatt Collins and Maggie (Mat) Boyatt Kidd.

Faye is survived by her husband, George W. Hicks; son, George (Eric) Hicks and wife Edna Hicks of Oneida; 3 grandchildren, Erica Olinger and husband Cody, Latosha Detharidge and husband Anthony and Shawn Harness of Oneida; 3 great grandchildren, Raiden Kayne Olinger, Shawn Robin Harness, Jr. and Madison Faith Harness of Oneida; 1 brother, Bobby “B.D.” Boyatt of Oneida; 2 sisters, Shirley D. Boyatt Reagan and Glennice Boyatt Stephens of Oneida; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the Hicks family on Friday, August 30, 2019 from 6 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 8 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Boyatt officiating. Music will be provided by the Foster Cross Roads Choir.

Graveside service will be on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at 10 a.m. in the Foster Cross Roads Cemetery in Oneida. Pallbearers will be: Curtis Reagan, Ralph Boyatt, Wade Byrd, Joey Byrd, Troy Boyatt and Roy Boyatt.
