Angela Lee 'Angie' (Robbins) Sexton

Angela Lee ‘Angie’ Robbins Sexton, went home to be with the Lord and to be reunited with her son, Derek, on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at her home in Oneida, TN.  Born May 27, 1966, she was the daughter of the late James Lee and Janice Jeffers Robbins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son:  Derek Sexton; niece:  Erica Todd Byrd; and fur baby:  Shadow.

Angie is survived by her sister:  Melissa Todd and husband Wayne; brother:  Wayne Robbins and wife Sadonna; sister-in-heart:  Lisa Lawson; nephew:  Jordan Todd; nieces:  Donja Robbins, Lecretia Page and husband Adrian, Kira Williams and husband Lance, Heather and Josh Wilson, and Megan Green.  She was known as ‘Angie the Great’ to her great nieces and nephews:  Gabriel Byrd, Karrigan and Kyler Wilson, Lily Davis, Dallas Melton, and Rebekah and Ava Green; special cousins:  Mark, Alyssa and Noah Chitwood, and Lisa Russ; special neighbors:  Connie, Evie and Rachael Thomas; as well as many other family members and friends.  She leaves behind her fur babies:  Jax and Cookie whom she loved dearly.

Angie worked many years in the Oneida Post Office where co-workers became family, especially Brenda Shoemaker, Melisa Stephens, Sharon Byrd and Nancy Smith.  Angie was full of love and was kind to everyone she met.  She will be greatly missed.

Friends may visit with the Sexton family on Monday, January 6, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Byrge officiating. Music will be provided by Brent and Leslie Shoemaker.

Committal service will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in the Mount Jeffers Cemetery in Oneida, TN.  Pallbearers will be:  Josh Wilson, Jordan Todd, Wayne Robbins, Wayne Todd, Mark Chitwood, and Lance Williams.
