Argie Lee Evans, Sr.

Argie Lee Evans Sr., age 79, of Oneida, TN, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 26, 2023, at home with family.  Born in Oneida, TN, January 12, 1944, he was the son of the late John and Martha Shelton Evans.  

Argie was an endearing husband, as well as a loving father and grandfather.  He was a very hard-working man and never found anything he couldn’t fix.  He worked at Hartco Flooring in Oneida for 30 years and was an excellent handyman. Following retirement, he cared for his grandchildren with whom he loved spending time with.  Argie had a special place in his heart for Black Oak Baptist Church and Pastor Kyle Keeton.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son:  Jeffrey Lee Evans; brothers:  Alonzo Evans, Roscoe Evans, and Willard Evans; sisters:  Esther Evans and Eval Evans.

Argie is survived by his loving wife of 54 years:  Lucille Evans; brother:  John Roy Evans; daughter:  Ella Rose Evans Keeton (Derek); son:  Argie Evans Jr. (Tiffany); and special grandchildren that he adored:  Danner Luke Keeton, Gavin Isaac Keeton, Emmalyn Rose Evans, and Ryker Aiden Evans; as well as many other relatives, friends and special loved ones.

Friends may visit with the Evans family on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home.  A private celebration of life will be held for the family with Pastor Kyle Keeton officiating and music by Tiffany Evans.
