Barbara Jones

Mrs. Barbara Jean Wilson Jones, age 57, of the Black Creek Community in Robbins passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at the Tennova Turkey Creek Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee. Born November 8, 1963, she was the daughter of Frazier and Alma Wilson. She was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church. 

She was preceded in death by Clifford Ray Jones after 38 years of marriage. Cliff had been the love of her life since she was fifteen, and it gives us peace knowing she is with him once again. Barbara was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Albert and Lila Wilson; Earnest Hamby and Ida Hamby; Johnny & Mae Lawson; Alfred and Cleda Jones; father-in-law, Kenneth Jones; brother-in-law, Ronald Jones.   

Barbara had such a big heart, never hesitating to help anyone in need no matter the time of day. She was a natural caregiver and was a mom to so many. She loved her family, especially her granddaughter Kendell, who was her whole world. She was also a great co-worker, constantly laughing and saying “aaah buddy.” She was loved by so many and will be greatly missed. 

In addition to her parents, she is survived her daughter: Jenny Gibson, and husband, Bub; son: Tony Jones, and wife, Miranda; granddaughter: Kendell Gibson; sister: Charlotte Ipock, and husband James; brother: Willie Wilson, and wife Angie; brother-in law: Donald Jones, and wife, Polly; sisters-in-law: Sandy Thompson, and husband, Wendell; Karen Jones, Sharon Jones, and Cindy Jones; mother-in-law: Flonnie Jones; nieces and nephews: Christy Blevins, and husband, Shane; Jason Huckeby, and companion, Chelsey; Crystal Wilson; Troy Wilson; Alisha Cross; Becky Terry, and husband, Justin; Amanda Jones and fiancé, Michael; Tiffany Cordell, and husband, Dustin; Carla Duncan, and husband, Jason; Blake Jones; many great-nieces and nephews; special friends: Barbara McCartt, Vicky Laxton, Gigi Brown, and Nancy Brown; and many other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the Jones family on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 from 12 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. David Webb, Bro. Johnny Adkins, and Bro. Michael Carroll officiating. Music will be provided by The Singing Hambys.

Committal service will follow in the Black Creek Crossroads Cemetery in Robbins. Serving as pallbearers: Dennis Jones, Vince Jones, Donald Jones, James Ipock, Wendell Thompson, and Shane (Rocky) Blevins.
