Obituary
Barbara Carol (Simpson) Sheppard, age 89 of Grove City, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at The Ashford on Broad, Columbus, Ohio. Born in Stearns, Kentucky on July 6, 1933, she was the daughter of the late James and Lena Simpson.
Carol retired from Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio and enjoyed watching baseball and solving the crimes on Live PD, vacationing at Myrtle Beach, and her grand pups, Marley, Baby Girl, Beatrix, Chase, and Bailey.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Arnold Sheppard; brothers: Thomas, Granville, Ruble, and James N. Simpson; and sisters: Blaina Simpson and Joyce Pemberton.
Carol is survived by her daughter: Marla Sheppard (John) of Grove City, Ohio, grandson: Christopher Jayson Kinstler (Heather) of Galloway, Ohio, granddaughters: Stephani Wise (Aaron) of Canal Winchester, Ohio, Danielle DiPietro (Tristan) of North Canton, Ohio, great grandsons: Tyson Joseph DiPietro, Christopher Jaxon Kinstler, Tyler James Wise; great granddaughters: Lucia and Ahsha DiPietro; and sister: Donna Simpson, of Oneida Tennessee; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, other family members and friends.
Friends may visit with the Sheppard family on Saturday, July 8, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. until time of inurnment service at 2:00 p.m. at Carson Memorial Mausoleum with Bro. Mark Smith officiating.
