Barbara Jean (Phillips) McCarroll

Barbara Jean Phillips McCarroll, age 83 of Oneida, TN, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at the Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville, TN.  Born January 24, 1941, in Scott County, TN, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Nellie Douglas Phillips.  She was a member of the Winfield Baptist Church; and retired from Tennier Industries.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers:  Laymon Phillips and James Phillips; sisters:  Ruth Jeffers Hill, Charline Stephens, and Norma June Witsman.

Barbara is survived by her children:  Gary R. McCarroll, James K. (Jim) McCarroll and wife Deborah; grandchildren:  Teresa Burchfield, Lisa Daugherty (Wendell), and Jeffery Burchfield (Christina); eight great grandchildren; fifteen great, great grandchildren; as well as other family members and friends.

Friends may visit with the McCarroll family on Thursday, December 5, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 6:00 p.m. with Bro. Keith Marcum officiating.

Committal service will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. in the Phillips-Owens Cemetery.
