Beatrice "Bea" (Davis) Vanover, born on August 27, 1951, in Scott County, Tennessee, went to be with her Lord and Savior peacefully surrounded by those she loved most at home on July 10, 2024, in Oneida, Tennessee. Bea lived a life marked by deep family connections and a spirit of adventure.
Bea's career was as colorful and expansive as her personality. Alongside her late husband, Goman "Dewayne" Vanover, she traversed the country as a truck driver, an experience that brought her immense joy. Bea, in partnership with her daughter Teresa, channeled her entrepreneurial spirit into building a successful business, further showcasing her resilience.
Bea cherished the time spent with her family most, whether it was playing cards and board games or simply making lasting memories. These moments were the cornerstone of her life, providing joy and laughter in abundance.
Bea is survived by her daughter, Teresa (Davis) Willoughby; granddaughters, Courtney Willoughby and partner Francis Purnell, Kayla (Willoughby) Hall and husband Wesley Hall; great-grandchildren, Mikel Sexton, Mia Sexton, Jackson Sexton, and Jamison "JJ" Hall. She also leaves behind her siblings Rosetta Jenkins, James Davis and Christian Chambers, Freddy and wife Donna Davis, Jr and wife Sherry Davis, Roy and wife Laveda Davis, and Frank and wife Debbie Davis, along with many nieces and nephews.
Bea was preceded in death by her husband, Goman "Dewayne" Vanover; son-in-law, Micheal Willoughby; her parents, Haydee (Phillips) and George Davis; siblings, Gracie Davis, Linda Day, Vernon and Bertha Davis, Shelby and husband Paul Marek, Betty and husband Dutch Curtis; nephew, Daniel Jenkins; and niece, Haydee Marie Davis.
The family would like to extend an extra special thank you to hospice nurse Brenda Smith, caregiver Anita Craig and Bea's sister Rosetta Jenkins for going above and beyond helping the family every step of the way.
West-Murley Funeral Home in Oneida, Tennessee, is assisting the family during this time. Bea's life will be celebrated and remembered for the warmth and love she spread to all those around her. Her legacy of strength, love, laughter, and resilience will continue to inspire and influence her family and everyone who knew her.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, July 13, 2024 from 4 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 6 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home.
Committal service will follow in the Phillips-Davis Cemetery in the Annadell community. Pallbearers will be: Johnny Norris, Joe Jenkins, Donald Wright, John Newport, David Davis, and Jackson Sexton.
