Belva Ann Phillips Ward, age 79, of the Paint Rock Community of Oneida, TN, stepped into Glory on March 8, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family who loves her very much. Belva was born on August 27, 1941 to the late Ralph Phillips and Etta “Rose” Perkins. She loved the Lord and was a member of the New River Missionary Baptist Church in Helenwood, TN.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Fred Ward Jr; father: Ralph Phillips; mother: Etta “Rose” Perkins; son: Jeffrey Mitchell Griffith; two granddaughters: Leslie Crystal Lynn Griffith and Alicia Ann Marie Griffith and son-n-law: Bob Newport.
Belva is survived by her six other children who meant the whole world to her; daughters: Bobbi DeBord and husband Dick; Cheryl Humpreys and husband Rick; Sandy Newport, Decie Buttram and husband Mike; Nikki Sexton and husband Mike; son: Donnie Griffith and wife Lisa; daughter-n-law: Crystalle Griffith; step-son: Johnny Ward and wife Jeanene; two step-daughters: Nora Hawkins and Rose Rowe; grand-children: Anthony, Deana, Kristi, Amy, Billy Joe, Misty, Brogan, Brad, Michael, Mitch, Wade, Jennifer, Marie, Tyrell, Hannah, Whitney, Joshua, Jordan, Bethany, Randall, Eric B., Eric S., Stephanie, Vania, Ashley, Brandon, Terry, Jesse, Crystal, Tabitha, Ember, River, Mitchell, Niki, Shanna and Coy; seventy great-grandchildren; one great, great-grand daughter and many other family and friends. Friends may visit with the family of Belva Ward on Thursday, March 11, 2021 from 1 p.m. until time of funeral service at 4 p.m. at the House of The Lord in Oneida, TN., with Bro. Kermit Phillips and Bro. David Brewster officiating.
Committal service will follow in the Sexton Memorial Cemetery in Oneida, TN.
