Betty Lou Cross, age 82 of the Smoky Junction community, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family. Born in Dayton, Ohio on August 19, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Mary Booher. She was a member of the Riverview Missionary Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elden Cross; brother, Robert Booher; and sons-in-law, Phil Byrd and Gaither Goodman.
Betty is survived by her children, Connie Goodman of Smoky Junction, TN, Debbie Whitaker of Oneida, TN, Mary Byrd of Sevierville, TN and Steve and Kristin Cross of West Palm Beach, FL; grandchildren, David (Cyndi) Sharpe, Jason (Misty) Goodman, Josh (Lori) Goodman, Samantha (Samuel) Biggerstaff, Travis Donovan, Brad Byrd, Danielle Donovan and fiancé Patrick Coppola; 12 great grandchildren, Logan, Landon and Jacey Goodman, Zaden Byrd, Kristen, Kade, Gene and Bobby Sharpe, Jacob and Baileigh Goodman, Spencer and Braylee Byrd; and many more family and friends. Special thanks to Grace Primary Care and Quality Hospice for the outstanding care.
Betty’s request was cremation.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be on Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at 6 p.m. at the Riverview Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Brian Strunk and Bro. Buster Massengale officiating. Music will be provided by the Mason Family Singers.
