Bobby Grider

Bobby Grider, age 73 of Huntsville, TN went home to be with his Savior on Thursday, April 21, 2022, with his loving family by his side. Born in Scott County, TN on January 3, 1949, he was the son of the late Virgil and Etta Lynn Grider.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, W.C. Grider (Liza); sisters, Juanita Claxton (Gilbert), Viola Artz (Marsh), Pauline Lackey (Harold); father and mother-in-law, Ada Norris and Willard Norris; brothers-in-law, Andy Russ, Stanley Reed, Dennis Chambers, Eugene Chambers, Johnny, Emmon and Manuel Norris, Russell Brummett and Earl Carroll; sisters-in-law, Gladys Jeffers, Dorothy, and Telitha Norris.

Bobby is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Ann Grider; two daughters, Annette Smithers (Jake) and Sue Simpson; two grandsons, Shane Cooper (Kenisha) and Ethan Cooper; one granddaughter, MaKayla “Katie Ann” Cooper; great grandson, Jackson Cooper; two sisters, Sue Chambers of Helenwood, TN and Evelyn R. Chambers of Oneida, TN; sisters-in-law Hattie Henry, Louise Caroll, Teresa Norris, and Wanda Brummett; brother-in-law De Norris; a host of nieces and nephews, and other family members and friends.

Friends may visit with the Grider family on Monday, April 25, 2022 from 12 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Sexton and Bro. Larry Russell officiating.  Music will be provided by Jamie and Toni Byrd.

Committal service will follow in the Cutt Cemetery in Helenwood. Pallbearers will be: Shane Cooper, Jacob Smithers, Adam Byrge, Jeremy King, Daraven Russ, and Ethan Cooper.
