Bradley Franklin 'Brad' Phillips, age 63 of the Capitol Hill Community, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2024, at the Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville, TN. Brad was a member of the Capital Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Born October 24, 1961, in Ft. Eustis, VA, he was the son of the late Glendle and Ruby Hughett Phillips.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his sister: Shelea Collins; nephew: Dale Cole; and father-in-law: Tim Hamby.
He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved serving the Lord and always put others before himself. He was a devoted husband and father. A kind and gentle spirit.
Brad is survived by the love of his life: Pat Hamby Phillips; precious daughter: Whitney McKinnon and husband Keith; two grandchildren, his pride and joy: Tucker Levi McKinnon, and Bo Harper McKinnon; mother-in-law: Loretta Hamby; brothers: Thad Phillips and wife Karen of Knoxville, TN, and Trent Phillips and wife Yvette of Ackworth, GA; aunt: Evelyn Hughett; sister-in-law: Vickie Goad and husband Dennis; brother-in-law: Tim Hamby and wife Leah; nieces: Falisha and Lakisha Barranger, Bailey and Grace Phillips, Amanda Greene and husband Seth and their son Colton, Felicia Bilbrey and her son Parker, and Grace Hamby; nephews: John Cole, Nick Hamby, and Jacob Hamby; as well as other relatives and many friends and loving church family.
Friends may visit with the Phillips family on Sunday, December 1, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Dewayne Lawson and Bro. Doug Greene officiating. Music will be provided by the Harvest Trio.
Committal service will follow in the Black Creek Cross Roads Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
