Candace Reed

Candace Marie Reed, age 40 of Glenmary, TN, departed this life on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. She was born in Metairie, Louisiana on November 25, 1981.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Arthur (Bud) and Margaret Gunter and her grandfathers, Stanley Reed and Eugene Chambers.

She is survived by her loving son, Tagen Reed; her parents, Jim and Frances Reed, all of Glenmary, TN; her grandmother, Evelyn Chambers of Oneida, TN; aunts and uncles, Don and Renee Reed of Helenwood, TN, Mary Fairchild of Chattanooga, TN, James Gunter of Robbins, TN, Sue and Charles Blevins of Elgin, TN, JoAnn Gunter of Robbins, TN, David Gunter of Sunbright, TN, Lynn and Larry Smarsh of Lancing, TN, Steve and Donna Gunter of Lancing, TN; cousin, Leighann Laymance who was her best friend and spiritual sister; many other family members and friends.

Friends may visit with the Reed family on Sunday, September 4, 2022 from 1 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Gadd and Bro. Jamie Byrd officiating. Music will be provided by Jamie and Toni Byrd.

Committal service will follow in the Daniel Memorial Cemetery in Helenwood. Family will serve as pallbearers.
