Cara Linay Sexton

Cara Linay Sexton, age 61 of Helenwood, TN passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2025. She was born on June 30, 1963. She received her Lord at age 9 on January 7, 1972, with Bro. Ray Blevins as pastor. Linay loved life and sports, animals, flowers, and friends. She was the former plant manager at Hydraforce, Inc. in Chicago, IL and leaves many friends there but many friends and family here. She was always active in sports and loved being outdoors. She always donated to animal shelters, St. Jude, and Shriners, so please donate to one of your choice if your heart leads you.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ronald Dean Sexton; brother, Ricky Parker; grandparents, Segal and Ruby Jeffers and Everett and Zama Lovett.

Linay is survived by her mother, Mary Jane (Lovett) Sexton; stepfather, Michael Douglas, whom she loved; sister, Deana Jane Lawson; aunts, Josetta Griffith and Janetta Murley; uncles, John Jeffers and Paul Garrett; nephew, Jeremiah Hughett; great niece, Adrianna Overton; very dear friend, Carl; special friends, Tami McBride and Patty of Chicago, IL; adopted granddaughter, Morgan Danner; many nieces and nephews that she loved, other relatives and friends.

The family would like to take time to thank everyone for all of their prayers, visits, food, phone calls, and being here for us. We love you and thank you. God bless all of you.

A graveside service will be on Friday, March 14, 2025 at 1 p.m. in the Hazel Valley Memorial Cemetery.
