Carolyn Faye (Posey) Botts

Carolyn Faye Posey Botts, age 76, of Oneida, TN, departed this life on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at her home, surrounded by family.  Born May 10, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Leon and Littie Hughett Posey.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother:  James ‘Jimmy’ Posey; grandsons:  Tristen Dwight Chambers and Holden Everett Chambers; granddaughter:  Ashley Mae King; and an infant great granddaughter.

Carolyn is survived by her husband of 56 years:  Ezra Marshall Botts; children:  Marinda ‘Gaye’ Foster and husband Rhodney, Ann Renee West and husband Chris, Kara Jeannine Chambers, and Patrick Marshall Botts and wife Tosha; grandchildren:  Brittney King and Cody Gray, Cole West and wife Taylon, Cage West and wife Jace, Katlynn Newport and husband Dalton, Lexi Glenn and husband Cody, Chancrey Botts and wife Mackenzie, and Braxton Botts; great grandchildren:  Brayden Strunk, Kyndyl Gray, Hailyn West, Ellie West, Emrie West, Camrie West, Adler Glenn, Colden West, Aliza West, and Lynnleigh Newport; sister:  Rhonda Kay Posey; brother:  Leon ‘Buck’ Posey and wife Denise; sister-in-law:  Betty Sue Posey; special friends:  Wilma and Jeff Harness, Benny and Frances Zachary, Marshall and Jetta Lloyd and Tommy and Sue Harrington; special caregivers:  Charlotte Alford, Mary Foster and Patty Newport; as well as many other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the Botts family on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 7:00 p.m.  in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. J. R. Massengale and Bro. Dudley Harness officiating.  Music will be provided by:  Cole West and Lexi Glenn.

Committal service will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, 11:00 a.m. in the Posey-Owens Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be:  Cole West, Cage West, Chancrey Botts, Braxton Botts, Brayden Strunk and Dalton Newport.  Honorary Pallbearer will be:  Bucky Posey.
