Carolyn Newport Clark

Heaven gained a wonderful and beautiful soul on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, when Carolyn Newport Clark was called to be with her Lord and Savior. Heaven rejoices in her homecoming. Carolyn was a long-time, faithful member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Della Perkins; her beloved late husband, Melvin Newport; her son, Dustin Posey; her daughter, Tracy Lynn Newport; and her siblings.

Carolyn is survived by her loving husband, Carroll Clark; sister Carolyn Carson and husband John; daughters Tracey Douglas, Christy Smith and husband Brian, Kelly Posey-Chitwood and  husband Mark; sons, Shay West and Madison, Gene Clark and wife Janet, and Jim Clark and wife Louisa; grandsons Brandon Miller, Jordan West and wife Destinee, Jacob and Caleb Smith, Clayton Posey, Ashton Ramsey and husband Jake, Allison, Austin, Aaron, Natalie, Colleen, and Katy Clark;  great-grandchildren, Briley, Eli, Kyle, and Dawsyn West, Brenlynn Miller, and Weston McCloud; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends.

Friends and family are invited to visit on Saturday, December 21, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 19360 Alberta St., Oneida, TN, with Bro. Steve Stanley and Bro. Lee Strunk officiating. Music will be provided by Dallas West, Kathy Stanley, Vicky Taylor, and Nash Queener.

Committal service will follow in the Cooper Memorial Gardens.  Pallbearers will be Shay West, Jordan West, Clayton Posey, Brian Smith, Jacob Smith, Caleb Smith, Heath Sexton, Gene Clark, and Jimmy Clark.
