Cecelia June Parnell, age 92, of Knoxville, Tennessee, reached her heavenly home on Sunday, June 15, 2025. She is now reunited with her husband of sixty-nine years, Paul Parnell. She was a dedicated member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church. She taught Sunday School for many years. She loved crocheting and presented over two-hundred afghans to various people and groups. She was an avid gardener and took great pride in the many flowers she planted each year. She was a loving mother and a devoted wife who loved her family with all her heart.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband; mother, Princess Phillips; father, John C. Phillips; and seven siblings.
She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Parnell, as well as many special nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Carson Memorial Park in Scott County, with Rev. Joseph Williams officiating. Honorary Pallbearers are Bobby Williams, Robby Williams, Bill Robinson, Jacey Robinson, Rodney Russell and Duane Wright.
