Charlotte Ruth (Butler) Hatmaker

Charlotte Ruth ‘Bounce’ Butler Hatmaker, age 61, of the Tunnel Hill Community of Oneida, TN, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at home with her loving family by her side.  Charlotte was born in Helenwood, Scott County, TN, on August 17, 1963, to the late William ‘Buzz’ and Oma West Butler.

She enjoyed sewing and quilting for her grandchildren who were the loves of her life.  She was of the Baptist faith, and worked many years at Tennier Industries.

In addition to her parents, Charlotte is preceded in death by her sisters:  Barbara Gail Fieldman and Donna ‘Muck’ Jones; brothers:  J. D. and Delmus Butler; brothers-in-law:  Eddie Hatmaker and Eddie Garcia; and sister-in-law:  Anna Lee Judy.

Charlotte is survived by her daughter:  Lisa Slaven and husband Matt; grandchildren:  Jalyn, Gavin and Alie Slaven; husband Richard Hatmaker; sister:  Brenda ‘Sade’ Myers; brothers:  Jim Butler and wife Dorena, Dean Butler, Bill Butler and wife Marsha, Dick Butler, and Randy ‘Hooder’ Butler and wife Linda; sisters-in-law:  Janie Bowden and husband Dewight, Susan King and husband Kelvin, Melody Garcia, and Cindy Marlar and husband David; brother-in-law, Dan Hatmaker and wife Connie.

Friends may visit with the Hatmaker family on Sunday, February 23, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Shane Phillips officiating.  Music will be provided by:  Shane Phillips and the Victory Bluegrass Singers.

Committal service will follow in the Pike Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be:  Gavin Slaven, Matthew Slaven, Jim Butler, Joe Butler, Isaac King, Chad King, Ryan Myers, and Darby Myers.
