Christine Silcox Shoemaker

Christine Silcox Shoemaker, age 80 of Robbins, TN, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at her home with her family by her side.  Born August 16, 1940 in Scott County, TN, she was the daughter of the late John Smiley and Thelma Ruth Newport Silcox.  Christine was a member of the Freedom Christian Center.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband:  Clarence ‘Buster” Shoemaker, Jr.; two brothers:  Paul and Dewayne Silcox.

She is survived by daughter:  Marva Hatfield and husband Charles; grandchildren:  Nicole Hatfield, Justin Hatfield, Brittany Hall and Bethany Hatfield; great grandchildren:  Logan and Colton Francis, Mackenzie and Carsen Hall, Elisabella Dawn Hatfield; brother and sister-in-law:  Donnie and Barbara Silcox; sisters:  Trula Johnson and Phyllis Hutson; many nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.

Friends may visit with the Shoemaker family on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 from 3:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Shawn Anderson officiating.  

Committal service will follow in the Shoemaker-Hawn Cemetery in Elgin, TN.  Pallbearers will be Justin Hatfield, John Storey, Josh Roden, Daniel Silcox, Logan and Colton Francis.  Honorary Pallbearer will be:  Charles Hatfield.

With the Health Guidelines in place at this time, we ask that you be mindful of the social distancing measures recommended by the Centers for Disease Control.  Masks are required.
