Clinton (Clint) Lee Slaven, son of the late Harlin Lee and Debra Jean (Strunk) Slaven, was born March 26, 1974, in Oneida, TN. He was a graduate of Landmark Christian School and a member of Pentecost Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents: Ernest and Alta (Blevins) Slaven and Bill Strunk; aunt, Johnnie Ruth Slaven.
He is survived by his children: Cody (Ruthie) Slaven, Braden (Alyssa) Slaven, and Colton Slaven, and their mother, Shanna Slaven; granddaughters, Braelynn Jean and Karmin Leigh Slaven; grandmother, Lilyan Laxton Strunk; brother, Brent W. Slaven; aunts and uncles, Christy Strunk Hughett, Dean (Loyd) Lee, Doyle (Lois) Slaven, Earl Slaven, Marlesa (Ernie) Jahay; niece, McKenzie Wright and mother, Cynthia; nephew, Jeremiah Slaven and mother, Michelle; cousins, Angie Dorris, Carissa Sadler, Craig Foster, Felicia Flint, Kayla Jeffers, Tonya Owens and fur-cousin, Oreo Lee; many other relatives and friends.
Clint enjoyed any kind of manual labor whether construction with his dad or gardening with his grandfather. The last few years of his life, Clint lost mobility but found a new joy in life – storytelling on the telephone. He especially enjoyed spending his days talking with his family members; Charles and Barbara Burton, Christy Hughett, Dean and Lloyd Lee, Dean West, Felicia Flint, Lilyan Strunk, Marlesa Jahay; and friends, Matt Overton and Nathan Abbott. Special thank you to his “Bro,” Brent Slaven, and cousin, Cameron Cabbage, for helping him with mobility.
A private graveside service will be held.
