Connie Lynn King

Connie Lynn (Roark) King, age 62, of Helenwood, TN passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at Tennova North Hospital in Knoxville, TN after a brief illness, surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born in Oneida, TN on March 8, 1963 to Estelle Anne (Roark) Chambers. She graduated from Oneida High School in 1981 and obtained her AS in Physical Therapy Assistant studies. She worked as a licensed PTA at Grace Rehabilitation Center from 2000-2013. She attended First Baptist Church of Oneida, often with a special friend Rachel Isenberg.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother: Stella Phillips Roark and her grandfather: Boyd Roark; her mother: Estelle Anne (Roark) Chambers and her stepfather: Bobby Joe Chambers. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 33 years: Morgan Reece King; son: Seth King and father-in-law: Estol Lee King. 

Connie is survived by her son: Tyler Lee King, his fiancée Elizabeth Martin and granddaughter: Velouria King of Knoxville, TN; sisters Teresa Roark (Joel) Jones of Knoxville, TN  and Cynthia Roark Daniel of Oneida, TN and brother: Jeffery Scott Roark of Gulf Shores, AL; mother-in-law: Imogene King (James) Laxton of Oneida, TN, sister-in-law: Gina King (Steven) Phillips of Oneida, TN, nieces: Jordan Roark of Mason, OH and Bailey Roark Lea of Lebanon, TN and nephews: Ben Roark of Lebanon, TN, Stephen Phillips of Oneida TN and Jono Phillips of Oneida TN, special neighbors Phillip and Shirley King and many other relatives and friends.

Connie has chosen cremation.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to For the Love of Paws P.O. Box 264 Winfield, TN 37892. 

Friends may visit with the King family on Saturday, April 19, 2025, from 1 p.m. until the Celebration of Life Service at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Dr. Sean Lee officiating. Music will be provided by Tyler Lee King, Irene and Thea Chitwood.
