Daniel Lay

Daniel Ray Lay, age 44 of Robbins, TN passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at the Big South Fork Medical Center. He was born in Scott County, TN on November 19, 1980.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ovia and Helen Lay and Shirley and Janetta Lawson; uncle, Ralph Lawson; and aunt, Darlene Lawson.

Daniel is survived by his father, Edward Lay; mother, Lynnetta Lay; sisters, Amanda Hahn and husband Andy, Rebecca Sexton and husband Mike; nephews, Jadrien Buttram and wife Brooklyn, Elijah Lowe; niece, Tanya Jeffers and husband Braeden; great nieces, Everleigh and Henlee Buttram; special uncle, Edmond Lawson; many other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the Lay family on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 from 12 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Bruce Kennedy officiating. Music will be provided by Jimmy and Brooke Benge and Madison Smith.

Committal service will follow in the Norma Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Jadrien Buttram, Elijah Lowe, Jason Lawson, Shane Lawson, Andrew Hahn, and Braeden Jeffers. Honorary pallbearer will be Craig Lawson.
