Darrell Jones Obituary

Forest Darrell Jones, age 66 of Oneida, TN went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, TN. Born in Lynch, Kentucky on May 1, 1956, he was the son of the late Ira and Elsia Jones. Darrell was a member of White Rock Baptist Church. He was a gentle, kind, and caring man who loved everyone with all of his heart. Heaven now has a special angel.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Peggy Stidham; two brothers, Loy and Dwain Jones; one nephew, Dennis Bolan; and one niece, Christy Jones Waller.

Darrell is survived by his love of 29 years, Elaine Draughn; one son, Darrell Jones, Jr.; two sisters, Mary Bolan and Ann Luffman; one brother, Larry and wife Brenda Jones; one stepdaughter, Tonya; many other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the Jones family on Saturday, January 28, 2023 from 2 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 3 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Chris Sewell officiating. Music will be provided by the Chris Sewell family.

Committal service will follow in the Hazel Valley Memorial Cemetery in Oneida. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
