David Lee Wilson, age 72 of Helenwood, TN passed away on Friday, August 25, 2023, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY. Born in Dayton, Ohio on April 17, 1951, he was the son of the late Lee and Louise Wilson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives, Izetta Jeffers Wilson and Chloria Eileen Carson Wilson; brother, Danny Wilson; and stepsons, James, Jason, and Marty Carson.
David is survived by his children, Misty Bowen and John Smith, Louola Bowen and husband Eddie, Loretta Strunk and John Buttram; stepchildren, Carla and Jeff Buttram, Michelle and John Norris, Lori and Wesley Coffey, and Kevin Carson; grandchildren, Andrea and Chris Scott, Justin and Breanna Bowen, Carrie and David Green, Manuel Strunk and Rachel Lowe, Kerri Barnett and Bobby Barnett, Dakota and Ali Smith, Grainger Smith, Whitney and Jonathan Orick, Brittany and Elaina Knap, Brooklyn and Jadrien Buttram, Tyler Carson, Savannah Brown, Trinity Norris, Phoenix Norris, Terrie Slaven, Ricky Slaven, Skyler Carson, Tanner Carson, Hayley Murphy, James Coffey, Raylen Coffey, Alexander Coffey, Allie Beth Coffey, Kaden Carson, Kason Carson, and Jacey Carson; many other great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Friends may visit with the Wilson family on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 from 1 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Foster officiating. Music will be provided by Nanette Duncan and Joann Gibson.
Committal service will follow in the Marcum Cemetery in Helenwood. Pallbearers will be: Kason Carson, Kaden Carson, Skyler Carson, Isaiah McDounogh, JP Coffey, and Tanner Carson. Honorary pallbearers will be: Justin L. Bowen, Tyler Carson, Wyatt Scott, Weston Scott, Eli Scott, Thomas Green, and Manuel Strunk.
