Deborah Ann (Koeller) Cross

Deborah Ann ‘Debbie’ Koeller Cross, age 77, of the Sugar Grove Community of Pioneer, TN, passed away on Friday, October 10, 2025, at her home.  Born March 5, 1948, in Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Leroy Junior Koeller and Betty Lou Minnich.  She was a member of Buffalo Bridge Missionary Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Gene Dorse Cross, Sr.; daughter:  Melissa Jean Cross Hawkins; sisters:  Karen Humm and Patricia Parker; brother:  Butch Koeller; and her father and mother-in-law:  Rev. Virgil and Versie Cross.

Debbie is survived by two sons:  Gene D. (Bud) Cross, Jr. and wife Mary, and Sean Allen Cross and wife Christy; daughter:  Weigela Kay (Jill) Harness and husband Leonard (Rowdy);  grandchildren, Adam Byrge and wife Leshia, Brian Byrge, Lounicia (Lou) Bolton, Felicia Lee and husband Kevin, Crystal Hawkins, Deedra Bowling and husband Trevor, Dakota Cross and wife Chloe, Emily Cross, Frankie Ryan Harness, Jesse James Sexton, James Cole Sexton and wife Taylor, and Kaylee Harness; great-grandchildren, Rylee Byrge, A. J. Byrge, Gabe Byrge, Clara Byrge, Nolan Allen, Paisley Bolton, Leon Stephens, Payton Bowling, Nova Leigh Bowling, Bennett Cross, Josie Cross, Bo Onvie Goodman, Baylor Harness and Oakley Sexton; sister:  Joan Hackett; brother:  John Koeller; son-in-law:  Eddie Hawkins; and many other family members and friends.

Friends may visit with the Cross Family on Monday, October 13, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Dudley Harness officiating. Music will be provided by:  Leshia Byrge, Marilyn Byrge and Leshia Martin.

Committal service will follow in the Fairview Memorial Gardens in Huntsville TN.
