Deborah Sue Jeffers Washam, age 74, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2026, at her home. Born April 27, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Ira and Gladys Simpson Jeffers; and was a member of the Mill Branch Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Deborah was preceded in death by her husband: Woody McCoy Washam; infant daughter: Sabrina Nartella Washam; and brother: Douglas Scott (Lynn) Jeffers; grandparents: Oza Simpson and Bertha Hill Simpson Tharpe (William), Steve Jeffers and Anna Smithers Jeffers Chadwich (Fred); in-laws: Earl and Flossie Wright Washam; special brother-in-law: PFC Denny Lee Washam (KIA Vietnam War), special nephew: CPL Rusty Lee Washam (KIA Iraq War); uncles: Harry Lee Simpson, Ova Bud and Mary Rose Marcum Simpson, and Oza Junior Simpson; aunts: Geraldine Simpson Jeffers Brock (Oscar) (Rhonda Jeffers), Vivian Simpson Byrd Lindsay (Verlon Byrd) (Junior Lindsay); special brothers-in-law: Teddy Joe Washam and Bobby Washam; sisters-in-law: Helen, Dean, Wanda, Lois and Ann.
Deborah is survived by her children: sons: Darian Washam, and Erian Washam and wife Sabrina; daughter: Kayla Sue Washam (Tony King); sister: Beverly Ann Jeffers Washam and Sonny; grandchildren, who were her world: Taylor Washam (Alexis), Brailey Goodman, Isaiah Washam (Emma) Landon, Jaxon and Knox Washam; great grandchild: Saraya Washam; special aunt and uncle: Milred Simpson Moon, Buster Luster Simpson and Marlene Simpson; special nieces and nephews: Sonnie Michelle Washam Wisner, Misty Washam Day, Donny Washam, Lilly Washam Lewis, Dustin Washam, Chastian Jeffers Hoffman, Syngine Jeffers, Kathy Day Dixon, Shelda Day Lowe, and many other nieces and nephews; special friends: Alene Goodman, Elizabeth Washam White, Beulah Harness, Connie Goodman, Donna Lee and Dana Chambers, Debbie and Donna Boshears, Rhonda Marlow, Teresa Boshears and Mary Lowe; as well as many other relatives and friends.
Friends may visit with the Washam family on Sunday, April 12, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until time of Funeral ervice at 3:00 p.m. at the Mill Branch Baptist Church with Bro. Jeff Watson officiating. Music will be provided by: Denise Watson and the Mill Branch Baptist Church Choir.
Committal service will follow in the Mill Branch Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Dusty Hatfield, Matt Watson, Darrell Lowe, Dustin Bowling, Taylor Washam and Jason Goodman. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Donny Washam, Dustin Washam, Isaish Washam, Landon Washam, Jaxon Washam, Knox Washam and Syngine Jeffers.
