Debra 'Debbie' (Cross) Whitaker

Debra Cross ‘Debbie’ Whitaker, age 68 of Dandridge, TN and formerly of Scott County, TN, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at the LeConte Medical Center in Sevierville, TN with her loving family by her side.  Born September 11, 1957, in Rocky Top, TN, she was the daughter of the late Elden and Betty Booher Cross.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers-in-law:  Gaither Goodman and Phil Byrd.

Debbie is survived by her son:  David Sharpe and wife Cyndi; grandchildren:  Kade, Kristen, Gene David, and Bobby Sharpe; step-grandchildren:  Jacob Lay and wife Jasmine, Jordan Lay and Maddie Lay; sisters:  Connie Goodman and Mary Byrd; brother:  Steven Cross and wife Kristin; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Her request was cremation.  A private Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.
