Della Rose Chambers

Della Rose Goad Chambers, age 80, of Pioneer, TN, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 23, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family. Born May 19, 1945, in Scott County, TN, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Geneva Byrd Goad.

Della was the salutatorian of her graduating class and was proud to share the story with her kids and grandkids. She worked at Tennier Industries for 33 years as a beloved supervisor for many. After retiring she then decided to pick back up on sewing, which was her favorite past time. Della made lap quilts for several people and loved every minute of it. She even had her husband helping Della’s other favorite past time: singing Gospel and old Country music.

In addition to her parents, Della was preceded in death by son: Jonathan Chambers; 2 sisters: Betty Benson and Ann Allen.

Della is survived by her loving husband of 53 years: Eugene (Butch) Chambers; daughter: Heather Paul and husband Brian of Lafollette, TN; grandchildren: Courtney and Dalton Rorie of Blaine, TN, Krista West and Jayden West of Huntsville, TN, Megan Phillips of Lafollette, TN, Kayla Paul and Matthew Paul of Knoxville, TN; great grandson: Everett Eugene Rorie of Blaine, TN; sister and brothers: Loretta and Kern Lowe, Susie and Jim Kerce, Jerry and Sheree Goad, Janie and Paul Baird, Jackie and Roger Lawson, Steve and Alane Goad, Kathy Parrott, Freeda Goad, and Teddy and Misty Goad.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to Pam Byrge, of Quality Hospice, who cared for Della during this most difficult time.

Friends may visit with the Chambers family on Saturday, June 28, 2025, from 5 until 7 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be conducted on Sunday, June 29, at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Stacey Griffith officiating.

Committal service will follow in the Morning Star Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Brian Paul, Matthew Paul, Dalton Rorie, Roger Lawson, John Goad and Doug Goad.
