Delphia Beatrice Brummett, age 94 of the New River community, passed away on Monday, December 15, 2025, at the Cumberland Village in LaFollette, TN. She was born in Wayne County, KY on August 2, 1931. She was a member of New River Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her father, Archie Menzo Dishman and mother, Bertha Lee Shoopman Dishman; husband, Edgar Brummett; sisters, Linda (Univee) Brummett and Lucille Wright; brothers, Archie Dishman Jr., Ray Dishman, Walter (Russell) Dishman, and Ralph Dishman.
Delphia is survived by her sons, Arnold Dale and Ronald and Nancy; grandkids, Ronald Jr. and Lora, Bryan and Anthony, Beatrice and Lee, Dale Jr. and Brittany, Ricky and Jennifer, Kimberly and Chris; great grandkids, Matthew and Sierra, Miranda and Dustin, Melanie and Tray, Alex, James, Brittany, Ronald III, Elizabeth, and Cheyenne, Autumn, Kaylee, Izzy, Baylee, Nicholas, and Christian; great-great grandkids, Lillian and Kolten, Jayden, Camden, and Alexis, Angell, John, Easton; many other relatives and friends.
Friends may visit with the Brummett family on Friday, December 19, 2025 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Kelvin Young Sr. officiating. Music will be provided by the New River Baptist Church choir.
Committal service will follow in the Reed Cemetery in the New River community. Pallbearers will be: Dale Brummett Jr., Ricky Brummett, Ronald Brummett Jr., Chris Jeffers, Nicholas Brummett, Ronald Brummett III, and Matthew Slaven.
