Denise Louise (Jeffers) Posey

Denise Louise Jeffers Posey, age 59 of the Big Ridge Community in Oneida, TN, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2025, at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN.  Born October 6, 1965, in Jamestown, TN, she was the daughter of Dorris Louise Mills Jeffers and the late Donald Jeffers.

In addition to her mother, Denise is survived by her loving husband:  Leon ‘Buck’ Posey, Jr. of Oneida; daughters:  Jessica Botts and husband Eric, and Tiffany Hoffman and husband Carter, both of Oneida; her grandbabies, whom she loved with all her heart:  Gabriel Botts, and Cheyenne Botts, both of Oneida; brother:  Ricky Jeffers and wife Cathie of Winfield, TN; as well as many other loved ones and friends.

Friends may visit with the Posey family on Sunday, February 9, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Troy Burchfield and Bro. Jeff Dyer officiating.  Music will be provided by the Chitwood Boys.

Burial will follow in the Owens-Posey Cemetery on Oneida, TN.  Pallbearers will be:  Gabe Botts, Darby West, John Schmitt, Stevie Mills, Jonathon Posey and Gary Ellis.  Honorary Pallbearers will be:  Eric Botts, Carter Hoffman, and Rick Jeffers.
