Dennis Warren Kidd

Dennis Warren Kidd, age 59, of Oneida, TN, passed away at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY on Saturday, March 4, 2023. He was born on September 14, 1963, in Oneida, TN.

Dennis was the most caring, kindhearted man who was very close to God. There was never a dull moment with him, for he knew how to lighten any tense moment with a joke. He was the biggest fan of the Tennessee Volunteers and loved fishing, camping, and hunting. He was the best dad, husband, brother, and papaw.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Melinda (Missie) Kidd and his parents, Estel Lee Kidd and Flonnie Josephine Kidd.

Dennis is survived by his two daughters, Lindsey Ellis and husband Josh Ellis, Kendra Sparks and husband Jonathan Sparks; grandchildren, Memphis, Lucas, and Ava Ellis, Tayven and Barrett Sparks; sister, Merita Kidd; brothers, David Terry, Dewayne Kidd and wife Brenda Kidd; niece, Alicia Ulrich and husband Shawn Ulrich; nephews, Andrew Kidd, Jason Kidd, Jonathon Kidd and wife Sarah Kidd, Christopher Kidd, and Aaron Neal, as well as many other beloved family members and friends.

Friends may visit with the Kidd family on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 from 12 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Glenn Leffew officiating.

Committal service will follow in the Leatherwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Jonathan Sparks, Joshua Ellis, Albert Sparks, Andrew Kidd, Jonathan Kidd, and Jason Kidd.
