Denny Lee Posey

Denny Lee Posey, age 71 of the Pine Hill Community in Oneida, TN, passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2022, in Chattanooga, TN.  Born November 5, 1950, he was the son of the late Elmer and Tempa Cross Posey.  Denny was a member of the Second Bethlehem Church in Winfield, TN.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother:  J. B. Posey; sister:  Lou Etta Posey Laxton and husband Clifford; nephews:  Ronnie and Wayne Posey; brothers-in-law:  Kent Reynolds, and Ralph Westbrook; father and mother-in-law:  Rev. J. C. and Velma Clark Reynolds.

Denny is survived by his wife of 51 years:  Joy Reynolds Posey; son:  Jody Posey; granddaughters:  Bailie and Landrie Posey; sisters:  Marilyn Westbrook of Clinton, Jeri Dobbs and husband Jim of Murfreesboro; brother:  Archie Posey and wife Harriet of Englewood, OH; brother and sister-in-law:  Bill Reynolds and wife Cheryl; special friends:  Duane Duncan and Donnie Sexton; many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends to mourn his passing. 

Friends may visit with the Posey family on Saturday, August 27, 2022, from 12:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Kevin Reynolds officiating.  Music will be provided by Junior and Doris Potter and Mearle Marcum.

Committal service will follow in the Hazel Valley Memorial Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be:  David Chitwood, Anthony Stephens, Jared Sexton, Ryder Sexton, Nathan Marcum, Dale Baker, and Matt Ellis.  Honorary Pallbearers will be:  Duane Duncan and Donnie Sexton.
