Derek Wade Byrd

Derek Wade Byrd, age 33, of Huntsville, TN, passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at the Big South Fork Medical Center in Oneida, TN. Born on July 26, 1990, Derek was the son of Warren L. and Zelda England Byrd.

Derek was preceded in death by his grandparents: Odeva and Faye Byrd and Mary Allean Reed England; great-grandparents: Zeldrie Reed, Sylvania Tramel Reed and Mertie Adkins; uncles: David Wayne Byrd and Mike England; first cousin: John Donald England.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his one son: Jaxson David Byrd; one brother: Darren Byrd; first cousins: Ginger Styles, Michaela England Jackson and husband Melvin, Eddie Honeycutt, Jr., Johhny Mac Gaylor and wife Morgan, Aaron Gaylor and wife Jazmine, Josh Byrd and wife Ashlee, Matthew Anderson, Craig Anderson and Nicholas Byrd; aunts: Lisa Byrd, Cathi England Gaylor and husband Jim, Derita Long and husband Johnny; uncle: Edward Honeycutt, Sr.; special friends: Cole Lowe, Shawn Cotton, Chris Allen, and Frankie Shoopman and family; and second cousin: Mae Lynn Gaylor.

Derek’s wishes were cremation.

The family will announce a Memorial graveside service at a later date.
