Edna Whisnant

Edna Opal Crabtree Whisnant, age 76, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2022, at her home in Sunbright, TN. Born in Scott County, TN on December 15, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Ewell Crabtree and Minervia Byrd Crabtree. She was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her twin sister, Edith Love, Mable Phillips, Ruth Bolton, Ethel Crabtree, Rose Byrd, and Dorthy Martino; brother, Herthel Crabtree.

Edna is survived by her children, Keith Crabtree, Vaughn Whisnant, Eugene Whisnant, Elizabeth Whisnant; four sisters, Ollie Chambers, Margaret Honeycutt, Daisy Lloyd, Cassie Whisnant; three brothers, L.B. Crabtree and wife Ruth, J.H. Crabtree of Huntsville, TN, Charles Crabtree and wife Jerri of LaFollette, TN; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the Whisnant family on Thursday, May 19, 2022 from 1 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Dilbert Terry officiating.

Committal service will follow in the Scott Memorial Gardens in Oneida. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
