Edsel Gibson Obituary

Edsel Christopher Gibson, age 54, of the Paint Rock community passed away on October 16, 2024, at Big South Fork Medical Center in Oneida, TN. He was born in Scott County on February 19, 1970. He was a member of Capital Hill Missionary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents Gather and Helen Davis Gibson, grandparents Ermon and Artha Marie Cook Gibson, and Ralph and Gertie Harness Davis, and niece Jessica Renee Gibson.

He is survived by his brothers Danny Gibson and wife Sharon, Ricky Gibson and wife Donna Gail, sister Angela Newport and husband Dan; nephews Justin Sexton, Todd (Levi) Sexton, Gregory Gibson and wife Kristy; nieces Crystal Chambers and husband Tony, Ally Cromwell and husband Dylan, and Megan Gibson; and many other relatives and friends.
