Elenora ‘Nora’ Duncan, age 79 of Oneida, TN, passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at her home. Born May 1, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Mart and Hattie Slaven King. She was a member of the New Salem Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Louton Duncan; in-laws: Edward and Susie Duncan; brothers: Curtis (Barbara) King, Tom (Kizzie) King, and Elihue (Bobbi Jean) King; sisters: Monnie (Jason) Upchurch, and Jody (Fred) Morris; infants: Anthony, Kirby, Ralph, Louton, and Dovey King; and brothers-in-law: James Duncan and Oscar (Veda) Duncan.
Nora is survived by her children: Lessa (David) Ellis, Jim Duncan, John (Tonya) Duncan, and Tim (Angie) Duncan; grandchildren: Dereck (Amanda), Brian (Vanessa), Tracey, T. J. (Angel), Wesley (Amber), Dustin (Hannah), Jacob (Samantha), Justice, Alexis, Megan, Malachi, Jeremiah and Isaiah; 22 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; brothers: Marion (Sandra) King, Martin (Teresa) King, Charles (Darlene) King, and Henry (Kathy) King; sisters: June (Harold) Zimmer, and Mary (Harlan) Watson; Herb King and wife Faye, whom she loved like a brother; and many other relatives and friends. A special ‘thank you’ is given to Tiny of Quality Home Health, and Brenda Smith and Kendra of Quality Hospice Care for their kind and loving care.
Friends may visit with the Duncan family on Sunday, January 31, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of West Murley Funeral Home with Bro. John Duncan, Bro. Wayne King, and Bro. Charlie Golden officiating.
Committal service will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery in Oneida, TN.
