Elma Lucille Trammell Armstrong Obituary

Elma Lucille Trammell Armstrong, age 88 of Oneida, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2020 at her home.  Born July 24, 1931 in Carmi, IL, she was the daughter of the late Albertia and Mary Pretzsch Trammell.  Lucille was a homemaker, as well as the bookkeeper for her family’s business, Armstrong Drilling Co.  She was a member of the First United Methodist Church for many years where she was Sunday School Superintendent and Treasurer.

In addition to her parents, Lucille was preceded in death by her husband:  Rae Armstrong; son:  Rod Armstrong; and father and mother-in-law:  Corrie and Leda Armstrong; and several other aunts, uncles, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Lucille is survived by her children:  Brian Armstrong (Rosie); Steve Armstrong (Kathy); Debbie Allen (Craig), and Mary Armstrong; grandchildren:  Daniel Armstrong (Susie), Renae Vaughn (Travis), Lee Armstrong (Beth), Ryan Allen (Karen), Amanda Terry (Jared), Brandon Allen (Ariel), Newell Armstrong (Karri), Kelsey Armstrong (Brian Cochran), Ashley Armstrong, and Sidney Newport (Travis); great grandkids:  Sierra, Katelyn, Jayden, Taylor, Kaleb, Ily, Sarah, Kaden, Dylan, Ashlyn, Luke, Haddy, Phoenix, Declan, Briley, Sadie, Kacie, Mia, Jensen, Easton, Jeremy, Reilly, and almost here Rafe; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A private family graveside service will be held.  Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
