Elva Iniz Hicks, age 95 of Jamestown, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at the Oneida Nursing and Rehab Center. Born in Fentress County, TN on June 3, 1923, she was the daughter of the late William Talmadge Huckelby and Fannie Hill Huckelby.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Grover C. Hicks; sisters, Bonnie Huckelby Blevins, Lena G. Huckelby, Sylvia H. Hicks; brothers, Cordell and Coy Huckelby; nephews, Randy Huckelby and Wyman Blevins.
She is survived by sister, Dottie Crabtree and husband Earnest; children she raised, Kathy Hicks, Elaine Fowler and Justin Hicks; grandchildren, Benton, William and Emily Fowler; aunt, Savilla Huckelby; nieces, Esther Abbott, Priscilla Porter, Loretta Reynolds, Valorie Lam, Laura Lee Dicken, Debbie Huckelby, Robin Huckelby; nephews, Wayne Blevins, Joey Blevins, William Huckelby, Nick Crabtree and Donnie Huckelby; many great nephews, great nieces, other relatives and friends.
Friends may visit with the Hicks family on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 from 12 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Chris Sewell officiating. Music will be provided by Bro. Chris Sewell.
Burial will follow in the Pop Smith Cemetery in the Dale Hollow Community.
