Ernest Honeycutt Obituary

Ernest Ray Honeycutt, age 63 of Oneida, TN passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at the Big South Fork Medical Center in Oneida, TN. Born in Pendleton County, KY on November 26, 1956, he was the son of the late Goldman and Mae Patterson Honeycutt. He retired from GE in Evendale and served as union steward.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Elijah and Eva Posey Honeycutt and Molly Moore; brother-in-law, Bill Ray; and nephew, Chris Upman.

Ernest is survived by his wife, Deborah Honeycutt; sisters, Joyce Mueller to whom he was close to and Connie Lawson and husband Kenny of Kentucky; sister-in-law, Brenda Beets and husband Chuck; brother-in-law, James Bridges; nieces, Jessica Lay, Janet Baxter, Angela Delusou, Stephanie and husband Kenny; nephews, Frank Uchman, CJ Baxter, Charles Kenyon Beets, Matthew James Beets, Jonathan Delmos Beets; great nephews, Benjamin Christopher Baxter, Justice Lay, Joe Lay; Zoey Jo Lay, Sophia Isabella Lay; and many other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the Honeycutt family on Friday, October 9, 2020 from 3 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 4 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Delyn Phillips officiating.

Committal service will follow in the Morris Goodman Cemetery in Oneida. Pallbearers will be: Charles Beets, Kenyon Beets, Matthew Beets and Jonathan Beets.

With the Health Guidelines in place at this time, we ask that you be mindful of the social distancing measures recommended by the Centers for Disease Control. Masks are required.
