Estel Reed Obituary

Estel Reed, age 93 of Oneida, TN, passed away on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at his home. Born September 21, 1927 in Scott County, TN, he was the son of the late Leonard and Ida Bell Acres Reed. He served in the United Stated Army Air Corps; and was a member of the Pine Grove Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother: James (Juanita) Reed; and sisters: Wilda (Ora) Morgan, and Mildred (Vaughn) Chambers; sisters-in-law: Charlene, Joyce, and Pat; and brother-in-law: Charlie Sexton.

Estel is survived by his wife: Kathleen Kobal Reed; daughter: Karen (Rey) deCastro; grandchildren: Jesse and Kaya deCastro; brothers: Harrison Reed, and Tony Reed and wife Helen; sister: Jean Sexton; and many other family members and friends.

A private graveside service was be held with Bro. Tony Orick officiating. Pallbearers were: Ronnie Reed, Timmy Reed, Johnny Reed, Beau Blanton, Jonathon Lowe and Johnny Lowe.
