Flora Lee (Cross) Duncan

Flora Lee Cross Duncan, age 93 of Winfield, TN, passed away on Saturday, July 31, 2021, at her home with her loving family by her side.  Born February 28, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Gathie and Dora Bridges Cross.  

Flora was a loving mother, grandmother, and special friend to everyone, and a great caregiver to several people.  She was a life-long member of the New Light United Baptist Church, and loved her church family, singing in the choir, and helping in church activities.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years:  Coleman Elbert Duncan; 2 brothers:  Alfred and Maynard Cross; 3 sisters:  Thelma Sauls, Jeanetta Duncan, and Ocie Maxey; and great granddaughter:  Kelsie Jones; father and mother-in-law, Elmer and Emma Duncan and son-in-law, Norman Jones.

Flora is survived by 1 son:  Larry Bruce and Beverly Duncan; 3 daughters:  Judy and Larry Fults, Pamela Jones, and Brenda and Milford Chitwood; 8 grandkids:  Jimmy, Jason, Gwen, Cindy, Troy, Eric, Tonya, and Chad; great grandkids:  Logan, Emily, Megan, Jordan, Ashley, Katie, Leann, Taylor, Travis, Tori, Roy, and Rosemary; great, great grandkids:  Kolsen, Matthew, and Presley; special niece:  Lana Sams; 1 brother:  Manford Cross; and sister-in-law:  Helen Cross; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and her fur babies, Sadie and Maverick; and her cat, Max.

Friends may visit with the Duncan family on Monday, August 2, 2021, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at the New Light United Baptist Church in Winfield, TN, with Bro. Jennings Terry and Bro. Larry Fults officiating.  Music will be provided by:  John Watters, and Tonie and Jamie Byrd.

Committal service will follow in the Cross Cemetery.
