Franklin D. Newport

Franklin D. Newport, age 81 of Robbins, TN passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2025, at the Cumberland Village in LaFollette, TN. Born in Robbins, TN on February 27, 1943, he was the son of the late Ozias and Mary Guffy Newport. He was a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jewel Dean Newport; sisters, Vola Adams Wetting, Clara James, and Marie Cecil; and brother, Harold Dean Newport.

He is survived by his son, Jeffrey W. Newport of Robbins, TN; daughter and son-in-law, Marsha L. and Hugh Cosimini of Ocala, FL; sister and husband, Eleanor Curtis and Danny Nunn of Kingston, TN; many more family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be announced at a later date.
