Freddie Ray Wilson, age 75 of the Big Ridge Road Community in Oneida, TN, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at the Big South Fork Medical Center in Oneida, where he worked for Scott County EMS for many years and met a lot of people who became his friends. Born March 12, 1951, in Scott County, TN, he was the son of the late Clark and Opal Wilson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Bonnie Mae Daniels Wilson; sisters: Novella Gunnels and June McKinny; brother: Eddie Wilson; and nephew: Jimmy Gunner.
Freddie is survived by his son: Chris and Bonnie; stepson: Murphy and Donna Daniels; grandsons: Sterlin, Keith, Buddy, Kevin and Cody; granddaughters: Kim, Courtney, 19 grandkids, and 11 great grandkids; sisters and brothers: Leuella Gunner, Joe Wilson, Louise Young, Sue Bowling, Kay Wilson, Gary Wilson and Cheryl Martin; several nieces, nephews and many other family members and friends.
Friends may visit with the Wilson family on Thursday, April 2, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Dwight Stanley officiating. Music will be provided by: Jamie Byrd.
Committal service will be held on Friday, April 3, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time (or 10:00 a.m. Central Time) in the Crockett Cemetery in Fentress County, TN. Pallbearers will be: Keith, Sterlin, Tyler, Cole, Jimmy and Jordie. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Scott County EMS.
