Gary Dean Botts

Gary Dean Botts, age 66, of Helenwood, TN, departed this life suddenly on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at The Waters of Clinton Rehab Center in Clinton, TN. Born June 15, 1957, in Scott County, TN, he was the son of the late Bernard and Ruth (Presley) Botts.

Gary was a proud United States Army Veteran who served his country with pride. He was also a wonderful musician, singer, and writer of Gospel music.  He loved God, his country, and his family immensely. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son:  Carrie Lee Botts; brothers:  Steve, Jerry, and Bernard Michael Botts; sister:  Bernadene Lawson; and niece:  Misty Strunk.

Gary is survived by the mother of his children:  Alene Goad; sons:  Stephen (Amanda) Botts, and Eric (Jessica) Botts; grandchildren:  Jaycee, Gabriel, Alysin, Caleb, Cheyenne, Praylee, Payton, and Brayden Botts; sisters:  Linda (Curt) Boshears, and Loretta Pippin and husband Rick; brothers:  Wayne (Mildred) Botts, and Paul (Tina) Botts; as well as many nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.

Friends may visit with the Botts family on Monday, March 25, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Randall Duncan officiating. Music will be provided by Laura Beth Lowe.

Committal service will follow in the Botts cemetery in the Annadell Community with full Military Honors conducted by the American Legion Post #136 of Oneida. Pallbearers will be family and friends.  Honorary Pallbearers will be:  Gabriel, Caleb and Brayden Botts.
