Geneva (Genny) L. Queener age 79, of the Ditney Trail Community, passed away on May 10, 2023, at Big South Fork Medical Center in Oneida. She was born August 13, 1943, in the Smoky Junction Community. Genny touched the lives of all those she knew but her love of family and friends is her life’s work and legacy. She was a member of White Rock Baptist Church in Huntsville.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Roy D. (Bud) Queener and parents, Hubert and Vena B. Lowe.
She is survived by her brothers Marvin Lowe and wife Kay of Huntsville; Ronnie Lowe of the Smoky Junction Community and sister Carol Boshears and husband Gary of Huntsville; sons, Jerry and wife Kathy Queener of Stockdale, TX, Tony and wife Karen Queener and Doug and wife Elaine Queener of the Ditney Trail Community; grandchildren, Nicki, Anthony, Philip and wife Margaret, Shelli, Natalie and husband Caleb, Reece and wife Caitlin, Elijah, and Macy; great grandchildren, Lauryn and husband Wesley, Chloe, Christopher and Parker and great-great grandson, Jack Wesley; very special friend and caregivers, Faye Jeffers and Selena Lowe; as well as many other family members and friends.
Friends may visit with the Queener family on Saturday, May 13, 2023 from 12 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Adkins officiating and singing by The Mason Family.
Committal service will follow in the Riverview Cemetery in the Smoky Junction Community. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
