Glena Griffith Obituary

Glena (Byrge) Griffith, age 89 of Robbins, Tennessee passed away April 28, 2020 at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. She was born on January 21, 1931 to the late Enmon and Betty Byrge of Robbins, Tennessee. She was a member of Slick Rock Baptist Church. 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Griffith; great granddaughter, Kayla Lee-Ann Wilson; brothers, Daniel Byrge, Paul Byrge and sister Doris Daugherty.

Glena is survived by her daughters, Ernestine Bowling of Oneida, TN, Clois Foster and husband Dennis of Robbins, TN, Patricia Hamlin and husband Elmer of Williamsburg, KY, Barbara Shepard and husband Glenn of Robbins, TN and Betty Walker and husband George of Robbins TN; nine grandchildren, Michelle Foster Hall, Jason Bowling and Patty, Sterling Foster and wife Karen, Derek Shepard and wife Sarah, Anthony Bowling and wife Kendra, Ginger Hamlin Snell and husband Thomas, Eric Shepard, Justin Walker and wife Alison and Jordan Walker and wife Laura; ten great-grandchildren, Destiny Snell, Rilie Bowling, Jayleigh Bowling, Madison Foster, Tate Shepard, Drew Walker, McKinley Walker, Makenzie Foster, Blake Walker and Jace Walker; step great grandchildren, Sherrie Foster, Krista Wells, Brooke Oda, Anthony Snell, Landon and Laicee Lewallen; sisters, Imogene Burgess and Beverly Walker; brother, Robert Byrge and wife Sue; special friends, Howard and Sharon Griffith, Casandra Harris and Betty Henry; and many other relatives and friends. She also leaves behind a special canine friend, Knoxville Drake Hall.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2020 at 1 p.m. at the Slick Rock Cemetery with Bro. David Webb officiating. Pallbearers will be: Jason Bowling, Sterling Foster, Derek Shepard, Anthony Bowling, Eric Shepard, Justin Walker and Jordan Walker. 

In accordance with the Governor's Executive Order #22 concerning COVID-19, we ask that you be mindful of the social distancing measures to be taken according to the CDC Health Guidelines in place at this time.
