Hal W. Leftwich, age 69 of Oneida, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. He was born in Richmond, Virginia on October 21, 1955.
Hal had more than 40 years’ experience in healthcare leadership, having served the last 7 years as the CEO of Big South Fork Medical Center in Oneida. He worked in hospitals large and small but had a great love for rural hospitals. He also served as the president of the Scott County Chamber of Commerce.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Arvella Leftwich.
Hal is survived by his wife, Paula Leftwich; brothers, Bob Leftwich and wife Ginger of Winter Springs, FL and Rick Leftwich and wife Lesley of Davidson, NC; nieces, Charlotte Leftwich, Ginna Leftwich, Rosey McDonald and husband Jack, Laura Leftwich, and Jody Roberts; great niece and nephew, Hazel and Dax Roberts; many other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
