Harold Cotton

Harold Cotton, age 86 of Helenwood, TN passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2022, at his home. Born in Campbell County, TN on September 26, 1935, he was the son of the late Arvil and Nancy Cotton. He was a long-time employee of West Coal Corporation.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Pat Cotton; brothers, Junior Cotton, Onas Cotton, and JD Cotton; great grandsons, Josiah and Jonah Cotton; daughter-in-law, Marsha Cotton; special friend, Glennis Hughett; and many other loved ones and relatives.

Harold is survived by his son, Eddie Cotton (Gussie Hall); daughters, Tammy and husband Dean King; Denise and husband Garry Ainsworth, Reda and husband Wayne Chambers, Susie and husband Faron Thompson; grandchildren, Jonathan and wife McKeila Cotton, Christopher and wife Jessica Cotton, Dean and wife Ashley King, Mitchell King, Mackenzie and husband Josh Adkins, Corey and wife Angel Stanfill, Cege Sessoms, Brandon and wife Brittany Ainsworth, Lance Ainsworth, Hobie and husband Josh Withrow, Ryan and wife Lora Chambers, Niki and husband Josh Jeffers, Josh Thompson, and Austin Thompson; sisters, Shirley Chambers and Wanda Cotton; brother, Roger Cotton and wife Marva; 30 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and many other special friends and family. Special thanks to nurses Brenda and Amanda with Quality Hospice.

Friends may visit with the Cotton family on Saturday, August 20, 2022 from 3 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 5 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Dean Barnes and Bro. Jennings Terry officiating. Music will be provided by Jimmy and Sarah Byrd.

Committal service will follow in the Cotton Cemetery in Helenwood. Pallbearers will be: Christopher Cotton, Josh Thompson, Dean King, Ryan Chambers, Corey Stanfill, and Kyler King.
