Helen Owens

Helen Owens, age 82 of Oneida, TN passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2022, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY. She was born in Scott County, TN on March 16, 1940. She was a member of Hilltop Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Orey Ernest Owens; sons, Orey Ernest Owens, Jr. and Timothy David Owens; father, Tom Anderson; mother, Ruby Human Anderson Guffey; stepfather, George Guffey; brothers, Thomas and Amos Anderson and Bill Guffey; and sisters, Martha Anderson Pennick and Barbara Guffey Tucker.

Helen is survived by her daughter, Joyce Foster and husband Paul of Knoxville; son, Jeff Owens and wife Jamie of Oneida, TN; daughter-in-law, Zena Owens; six grandchildren; special friends, Judy West and Angie Perkins; caregiver, Anita Muse; many other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the Owens family on Monday, September 26, 2022 from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home. 

Funeral service will be on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at 12 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Tony Lowe officiating. Music will be provided by the Hilltop Baptist Church Singers.

Committal service will follow in the Owens Family Cemetery in Oneida. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
