Helen Joyce Keeton Terry

Helen Joyce Keeton Terry, 92, of Oneida, TN passed away at the home of her granddaughter in Danville, KY on Tuesday, August 6, 2024.  Born November 15, 1931, she was the daughter of the late William Henry and Lela Walker Keeton.  In addition to her parents, Helen was also preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Terry; daughter-in-law, Ginnie Terry; 5 brothers; and 1 sister.

Helen liked to sew, crochet, grow house plants, and listen to music.  She enjoyed her Sunday rides, fishing, and walking in the Oneida Park. She was a huge UT football and Peyton Manning fan. Helen loved spending time with her grandchildren and teaching them how to cook.

Helen is survived by 4 sons: David (NaTasha) Terry of FL; Daniel (Ricka) Terry of Danville; Delbert (Elaine) Terry of Danville; and Mark “Doug” Terry of Harrodsburg; brother, Roger (Shari) Keeton of TN; sisters: Ruth Buttram of OH and Reva Duncan of TN; 9 grandchildren: Lisa (Phillip) Coffman of Danville, Denise Terry (Matt Cochran) of Danville, Matthew (Jada) Terry of MS, Amelia Terry of VA, Grant (Maggie) Terry of FL, Brent (Berkley) Terry of FL, Hunter (Bethany) Terry of Danville, Keeton Terry of Danville, and Stephanie Traver of Louisville; 11 great-grandchildren: Blake Coffman, Brooke Coffman, Braydon (Sarah) Coffman, Courtney Lister, Kasey Lister, Lily Terry, Camden Potter, Henry Terry, Charlotte Terry, Violet Stoess, Ivy Traver, and expecting 2 more; and 3 great-great grandchildren: Nathaniel, Charley, and Laynie.

Visitation is 5-7 PM Friday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home in Hustonville, KY.  

Friends may visit with the Terry family on Wednesday, August 14, from 4 p.m.until time of the funeral service at 6 p.m. in the chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home.
